In a more modern vein, in the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. NOW, the world is weird and people take PROZAC to make it normal!! Also, if electricity comes from electrons, does "morality" come from Morons? (1) My Dad had one of the first commercially made television sets...Black & White and 3 channels to watch!(NO REMOTES) LET ME REPEAT...WE HAD THREE CHANNELS TO WATCH! FOR THE WHOLE HOUSE! T.V. STOPPED BROADCASTING EVERYTHING AT MIDNIGHT & REVERTED TO A TEST PATTERN AND "AMERICA.THE BEAUTIFUL WITH A WAVING FLAG.
(2) NEWS WAS ONLY PART OF THE 3 CHANNELS....IT DID NOT HAVE IT'S VERY OWN CHANNEL...THE FLAG AT MIDNIGHT WAVED ITSELF OFF THE SET AND BECAME NEWS CHANNELS 24X7!!
Obviously, going from twice a day (Noon & Evening local news)for 15 min. there became a humongous amt. of SPACE to FILL....Newscasters became "celebrities" that we believed no matter what was reported. I did LOVE Walter Cronkite who deserved my respect & attention.(Don't want to get off the subject by rambling here....)
Eventually, like "the Arms Race" there was a "News-Race" to stay FIRST with the BREAKING NEWS! (Channel 7 really wanted this "honor")With very little time to check the (Facts) the first reports almost changed by the minute to something else with what they called "UPDATES". First reports can have MANY errors but it was only important to be FIRST now.
With the advent of the "Informational Generation" (which is good) to the
almost uncontrollable "Social Medium" (which can be downright EVIL if abused and a "bonus" for Pedophiles & Sociopaths, we come to TODAY'S Dilemmas. Bad enough television wanting to be FIRST but the "attention-getter's" of the world have an INSTANT PODIUM!
During the GULF War, I was able to sit in my living-room in perfect comfort & safety with LIVE PICTURES of air strikes raining down like an abhorrent meteor shower. To be fair, I also was able to see Man's First Step on our beautiful Moon in June, 1969. Are we to take the good with the bad equally? I think we are smart enough to figure this out, ASAP.

If we were to use 62 as an average lifespan there have only been 800 lifetimes on our planet Earth.
650 of those 800 lifetimes were spent in caves.
MOST of human progress has been in the last 150 Lifetimes!
The PRINTED WORD for the masses appeared only 4 lifetimes ago!
The Electric Motor and Flight only 2 lifetimes ago.
IDEAS also speed up! BEFORE 1920 Electric Ranges, Vacuums and Refrigerators took 34 years from their inception to Peak Production....From 1939-1959: T.V.sets,Washer-dryers, Electric Frying Pans, etc. took only 8 years to reach Peak Production; 76% shrinkage of time.
Get the picture, folks? Man is the only animal that BLUSHES....or needs to!
Much of our knowledge and science of the human brain has occurred only AFTER the invention of the MRI Machine(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) X-Ray technology was able to determine bone health. The MRI
was able to "see" EVERYTHING in the human body and brain. Before this time, Doctors could only study cadavers(dead people!) sometimes not even that was allowed throughout medical history. Or, simply put, had to study only dead and VERY inactive brains with invasive cutting.
NOW, we can STUDY THE LIVING BRAIN AS IT FUNCTIONS!!!! HUGE
