INSANE ASYLUM of the UNIVERSE!?

The Insanity plea is actually used in only about 1 in 100 cases; only 10% of the time will it work...if the crime is MURDER it is even less successful, thanks to improvements in the science of detection verbally & physically.

1843..........The "McNaghten Rule" (England)
Basically said "delusions" (hearing/seeing things                        not there)provided the fact to determine insanity.

1954.........The "Durham Rule" started the use of "experts"
                    and "profiling" techniques.

Today.....The "Brawner Rule". focus more on the actual Time                     of the crime.
                   (1) Did they know "right" from "wrong?"

                   (2) Were they under "diminished capacity"?
                        (tremendous pressure to do it)

                   (3) Did  they try to "cover up" evidence to avoid                                 being caught?

                 (4) If they are found to be GUILTY but INSANE
they will be put in a psychiatric hospital & THEN
                       serve their sentence after.
