We gripe about the crowds but go at the very worst times and places to SHOP!
We buy gifts for people with no thought or feeling attached but because we "should!"
We don't like to feel we can be influenced by anyone to do something we don't want to do.....
IF the ONLY reason you are going along with something is because OTHER PEOPLE
WANT YOU TO.....the odds are in your favor to resist and NOT do it!!!
Embarassing someone for not going along with the crowd is one of the OLDEST MANIPULATING
TOOLS to get people to conform to what they want....Don't let that work on you!
When somebody wants you to do something.....you will NOT GET THE WHOLE STORY!
Depression: If you can THINK yourself into being depressed you can ALSO THINK your way OUT
of it! If you focus OUTWARD ON OTHERS and look for solutions it will NOT last as long!
The word CHRISTMAS means: Birth of Christ. During his 33 years he was never called CHRIST...
The name Jesus was as common to his time as John or Smith to us.
He held no office...no titles...was not an athlete or a celebrity....was misunderstood even by
his own deciples and family members...born in an animal trough in the simplest of places and
yet "wise men" followed the very bright star light to his humble birthplace to honor him and no
other person has ever changed the world the way he has...even how time is measured...it
became B.C. and A.D. Some believe he was just a great Teacher and limit it to that...but
nowhere in all history has there EVER been a teacher whose parables & teaching guide you
JUST as well TODAY as 2,000 years ago. Clothes, hairstyles, trends,the language all change
but his principles fit precisely to our problems and issues. He even chose the most incongruous
people to follow and teach with him because he wanted to come to Earth as a HUMAN BEING
that felt the same issues and pain that we did.....so misunderstood then and today by those that
want to take his words literally OR bend them to their needs. Because he lived and died for us
he has been my "best friend" since I was a small child and needed his protection throughout my
entire 70 years. I have never regreted my devotion to "my best friend".
